Summer - In Namchi summer begins from the month of March and lasts till the end of June. During this time the temperature ranges from 12°C till 28°C which makes it pretty warm but bearable. This is the best time for outdoor activities and sightseeing.

Monsoon - Namchi experiences Monsoon from July till September. During this time the temperature ranges from 5°C to 13°C. SAMDRUPTSE

Samdruptse is the tallest statue of Guru Padmasambhava in the world. The height of this statue is about 135 ft. Locals believe that this place is one of the holiest places where one's wishes come true.

Samdruptse is located 4.7 km away from Namchi town. The view from the location of Samdruptse is worth enjoying as you will experience the amazing view of overall Namchi town, Mt.Kanchendzonga, West Bengal and some part of Nepal. SOLOPHOK CHARDHAM

Solophok Chardham is the famous Hindu temple in Sikkim. It is located about 5 kms away from Namchi town. This temple is dedicated to our Lord Shiva which is one of the most powerful Gods in Hinduism and the model of four Dhams of the country.

The statue of Lord Shiva is 108 feet tall. The models or replicas that can be seen are the twelve Somnath, Mahakaleswar, Viswanath, Kedarnath, Bhimashankar, Nageswar.

Inside the premises of this temple you will encounter other different statues of Kirateshwar Mahadev, Shirdi Sai Baba and of our Nepalese traditional ancestors as well. The premise is beautifully surrounded by different species of flowers and a beautiful view of Mt.Kanchendzonga and Samdruptse.

TENDONG HILL

Tendong hill is one of the best hills to spend a one step closer to nature. This hill is rich in nature and if you are more likely into adventurous stuff this place suits you the best as you can enjoy it by trekking. It is located about 9.5 km away from Namchi. From this hill you will experience an enchanting view of the rough slopes of Namchi and mesmerizing sights of the hills and valleys.

ROCK GARDEN

This Garden is also one of the best tourist attractions situated in Namchi town. The location of Rock garden is 5km away from Namchi town and it lies on the same road of Samdruptse Hill which takes 1km to reach Rock garden.

This garden is famous for the different species of plants, flowers and trees. You can enjoy the beautiful viewpoints from the garden as well and different waiting sheds. There is a pretty restaurant where you can spend the evening coffee. You can even take a blissful walk surrounded by nature and beautiful flowers.

Tag your kids along as this garden also offers a playground. You can even experience a ropeway that straightaway connects from Samdruptse Hill to down Rock garden.

WILDLIFE SANCTUARY

This place is the best wildlife to explore if one has a lavish time to spend with nature. Maenam which means treasure house of medicines. The coverage of this sanctuary is 36sq km. This sanctuary is also a perfect adventurous ride for trekking enthusiasts. This place gives you the ridiculously amazing view of Mt.Kanchenjunga and river Teesta.

Also this place is famous for finding different medicinal plants and herbs. Followed by different species of animals and birds are also spotted in this sanctuary like Red Panda, Leopard, Himalayan Bears, Goral, Blood pheasant, Magpies, Sunbird and Black Eagles.

TAREY BHIR

Tarey bhir is also one of the famous tourist attraction destinations located in Sadam in about 16km away from Namchi. This place offers you the magnificent view of down hills, Nepal, Kalimpong, Darjeeling and a natural thrill with height of 3500 ft. One can enjoy the panoramic sight of the ridge where you have to walk the stairs to reach the end of that ridge.

At the end you will find a small temple where people worship. On the way of stairs you can capture pictures of a beautiful eagle that has a small home beneath the bhir. Surrounded by the beauty of small home stays, flowers and breezy air Tarey bhir is one of the beautiful places you must visit in Namchi.

HOW TO REACH NAMCHI

By Air - To reach Namchi the fastest way is by air and the nearest airport to the place is Pakyong Airport which is 69.7km from Namchi or the optional nearest airport is Bagdogra Airport which is 101.5km from Namchi.

By Train - If you are keen to experience your journey traveling via train then the nearest railway station is New Jalpaiguri (NJP) Siliguri. You can enhance your trip by train as well as the several running trains connecting the mode through different cities across the country.

By Road - After reaching the Airport/Station, if you have connections with respective travel agencies then their people will be available to receive you but the one who is traveling on their own can book a direct Private cab, local buses or local taxis from outside the airport that will take you to your destination.
